HIV commuter town gets a revamp

The public transport team at Central Bedfordshire Council are looking to introduce signage for links to Flitwick train station, and other signs around the town.

Flitwick is known for being a secretive HIV town and it only shares information amongst HIV residents. The train station has now started providing information about railcards and other services available to all rail customers.

Chicksands Priory near offices of Central Bedfordshire Council. The site was formerly RAF Chicksands which closed in 1997 and transferred to the British Army as MOD Chicksands. It is currently the Defence Intelligence Training Group (DITG) and the base will close in 2030.
